Maha Sivarathri Utsavam

Maha Sivarathri is observed through the night, with abhishekam and pooja repeated across each of the four praharas until dawn. Coordinating this well means planning for a congregation that stays through the night, not just a single evening crowd.

We manage the practical side — seating, lighting, prasadam through the night, and volunteer shifts — so the temple's priests can focus on each prahara's rites without interruption.

Each prahara typically features a fresh abhishekam with a different offering — milk, curd, honey, and other substances by turn — accompanied by Rudram chanting and bhajans in between. We arrange the abhishekam materials for all four sittings in advance, along with jagaran (vigil) arrangements for devotees choosing to stay through the night.
