Sri Ayyappa Swamy Mandala Deeksha is a 41-day period of austerity observed by Ayyappa devotees ahead of a Sabarimala pilgrimage, with its own daily discipline — black or blue attire, abstinence, and a simple, disciplined routine — leading up to a concluding pooja before departure. Groups often observe it together, which adds a coordination layer beyond the individual vratham itself.
We help arrange the concluding pooja, the irumudi kettu (the ritual bundle carried on pilgrimage, packed with the prescribed offerings), and any group gathering points the deeksha involves, while the daily observance itself remains between each devotee and their guruswamy.
Where a family or group is beginning the deeksha together, we can also help connect them with a guruswamy to guide the maladharana (thread-wearing ceremony) that formally begins the observance, and coordinate a send-off gathering when the group departs for the pilgrimage.
