An invocation to Lord Ganapathi before any significant undertaking.

Scheduled on request, timed against the panchangam Approximately 2 hours
Overview

Sri Ganapathi Homam

Sri Ganapathi Homam is traditionally the first rite performed before any significant undertaking - a wedding, a housewarming, the start of a new venture, or an important family occasion. The ritual invokes Lord Ganesha, who is worshipped as the remover of obstacles and the divine presence sought at the beginning of auspicious activities. We arrange the complete samagri list, confirm an auspicious time according to the panchangam, and coordinate a priest suited to your family's specific tradition.

The homam is conducted with the appropriate Vedic mantras, offerings and sankalpam, with the family participating at the important stages of the ceremony. From preparing the homa kundam and arranging the required offerings to coordinating the priest and family members, every practical detail is planned in advance so that the ceremony can proceed peacefully and without unnecessary interruptions.

What to expect

  • Sankalpam (statement of intent) followed by the homam itself
  • Complete samagri arranged in advance — nothing sourced on the day
  • Guidance on where the homam fits if it precedes a larger ceremony

Conducted by

A priest matched to your family's sampradaya
